Fashion Illustration is the art of communicating fashion ideas in a visual form or you can say it is an artistic representation of a garment to interpret our ideas on a drawing paper or digital artboard. Fashion Illustrations play a major role in designing, to preview and visualizing designs before sewing the actual garment, and with the rise of the digital world, fashion has also become digital and this is why the demand for ‘Digital Fashion Illustrations’ has increased a lot. This is what this course is all about, to teach you how to use Adobe Photoshop to develop Fashion Illustrations. This 'Intermediate to Advanced level' course is designed for those who understand all the basic tools and commands of Photoshop, who understand how to draw croquis, and how to draw and render garments using software, but are willing to improve their illustrations. So, this course will help them to understand the concepts of lights and shadows required for 3d rendering, complicated body postures, faces, and hairstyles, different garment categories (like casual wear, smart casuals, party wear, resort wear, corporate wear, couture, avant-garde, white brides, Indian brides, sarees, contemporary wear, fusion wear, evening wear, draped outfits, winter wear, etc.). You may already know how to render a few fabrics but this course explains fabric rendering in detail (fabrics like cotton, georgette, net, organza, denim, ripped denim, tissue, lycra, velvet, crepe, sequins, furs, knits, quilts, leathers, satin, silk, etc), prints and embroideries, and the list goes on. And not only this, but you’ll also be learning how to develop your own style of croquis, how to add backgrounds in an illustration, how to set-up a profile on social media, how to find freelance projects, how to pitch a client, and how to prepare a fashion portfolio. A proper assignment will be given after every session, and you’ll be getting customized feedback per session directly from Sanyam Jain, and you can also chat with him directly within the course. This course is a perfect choice for those who already understand the concept of digital illustrations or maybe working already as an illustrator, but wants to add more perfection to their illustration.
The purpose of this free demonstration is to give you an idea of how the further sessions are going to be. This session is planned to explain the concept of Lights and Shadows. You’ll understand the correct brushes and hand movements that you should keep while shading. You’ll understand the difference between Key lights, bounce lights, base colors, types of shadows, and highlights. A detailed demo of 3d rendering will be given on the basic shapes that will eventually help you to render croquis and complicated garments.
Good Luck !
